Events: In the early fall, parents are welcome to attend an Open House (no RSVP required) and you may do so even if you have not applied. This event is designed to be as informative as possible and typically involves student speakers, talks from key administrators and time to socialize with current parents. Later in the season, families are invited to attend a diversity event to learn more about diversity and inclusion. (Note: these events are only for this year's prospective applicant families).
Tour: The school tour is small and extensive; as it is parent-led, you will hear a current parent’s point of view and receive a print curriculum guide to review. Two families tour at a time.
Interview: The parent interview is personal and organic. We hope to have an open dialogue with you about our school and your child. Families meet one-on-one with an Admissions officer.
Child Visit: We want to get to know your child as well as possible during their visit (which happens at the same time as yours). We meet with only two children at a time, and work one-on-one with each child. While the visit is not a play date, children will have the opportunity to ask their own questions and do some fun activities.
No ERB Testing: We do not require any standardized testing given by the Education Records Bureau.
Group Observation: A teacher from the Admissions Office will be visiting pre-schools to see children. We will also host Saturday classroom play-groups. If we are unable to observe your child at their school, we will be in touch to schedule a Saturday visit at Trinity.
School Report: We require a current school report from your child’s school. Most early childhood schools already have this report form and will send it to us upon completion. If you are at a school that does not use this format or generate reports at all, please find a blank report form here. This can be given to your current school, or contact the Admissions Office for an alternative method. (Note: This blank report form must be completed by the classroom teacher and returned directly to our office from the teacher or school administrator.)
