We will not offer on-campus tours of Trinity facilities this fall.  We expect to make a photo gallery of Trinity's Upper School available in October.

List of 8 items.

  • Step 1: Application

    Submit the application online.

  • Step 2: Interview and Application Fee

If we will have openings for which we can consider you, we will contact you to schedule an interview.

We may not be able to determine if openings could occur in these grades until early 2021.

We will request an application fee from you if we are able to meet you for an interview.
  • Step 3: Arrange for Testing

Applicants should take the Independent School Entrance Examination (ISEE) or the Secondary School Admissions Test (SSAT). You must list Trinity as a school to which you want scores sent.
  • Step 4: Transcript Request

Request a transcript from the applicant’s school when you request a reference.

Using our Transcript Release Form makes it possible for academic records to be sent to us. The transcript we receive should include work from the fall term, as well as all work from the previous year.
  • Step 5: Reference Form

We would like to receive two references.  Ask a fall 2020 teacher of English, history, math, or science to fill out the reference form. Please also ask a fall 2019 teacher of English, history, math, or science to fill out the reference form.

After you apply, you may make a request for an academic reference be submitted online, or a reference may be submitted directly by a teacher to 5-12admissions@trinityschoolnyc.org. We want to receive the fall 2020 reference at the end of your child's first fall term.

If you would like to submit more than the two requested references, you may do so. A teacher of any subject may submit an additional academic recommendation.
  • Step 6: Essay Questions

There are no Trinity School student essay questions to answer for our application.

We will evaluate the essay writing sample produced during standardized testing.
  • Step 7: Parents' Statement

We will be happy to receive an optional parents’ statement about the applicant, if you would like to write one.

If you would like to submit a statement, please tell us anything that will help the committee to know your child. You may wish to discuss why you think Trinity School is a good match for your child, your child's interests and accomplishments, and/or your child's experiences in school to date.
  • Step 8: Financial Aid Updates After You Apply For Admission

If you would like to apply for financial aid, but did not make the request when completing the application, please notify the Admissions Office and Financial Aid Office.
ALL APPLICATION COMPONENTS SHOULD BE RECEIVED AT TRINITY SCHOOL BY MONDAY 11 JANUARY.
