Middle School Councils

During the middle school clubs and councils period, students are eligible to participate as members of one of three councils: chapel, service, and student diversity leadership.

Members of the Middle School Chapel Council are leaders in grades 6-8 who create, plan and participate in our weekly chapel services on a regular basis. The council plays an invaluable role in determining how the chapel theme will be explored. They also generate ideas for future themes.

The Middle School Service Council is a student leadership group that supports community engagement and service work in the Middle School. In Service Council, students learn how to be be changemakers who make meaningful social impact in our school community and beyond. Students will focus on environmental issues and food justice and will support our Community Circle partnerships through activities such as: planning community garden improvements, organizing Advent Church meals, and leading a coat drive.

Members of the Student Diversity Leadership Council are students in grades 6-8 who explore topics related to diversity, social justice, equity, and inclusion. They engage in discussions about several aspects of identity, and they plan events for our Middle School community.
