Trinity Sweeps Ivy Prep League Swim Championships

The Trinity Tunas completed their undefeated Ivy regular season schedule by winning the Ivy Championship!


Boys’ Swimming
With a one point win over Hackley in the dual meet, the Tunas entered the Championship Meet needing strong performances to win the title. The team came through and won the meet by 50 points, securing their fourth championship in the last five years.

Girls’ Swimming
Finishing an impressive Ivy dual meet season, the Tunas won the Championship by a whopping 131 points. This is the third consecutive Championship for the girls’ team!

The following school records were set during the Championship Meet:
  • 50 Free – 22.01 – CJ Hinckley (old record set in 1997 by Alfred Kong)
  • 200 Free – 1:43.03 – CJ Hinckley
  • 200 IM – 1:53.42 – Dylan Rhee
  • 200 Free Relay – 1:30.95 – CJ Hinckley, Max Babej, Dylan Rhee and Charlie Brountas
  • 200 Medley Relay – 1:37.74 – CJ Hinckley, Max Babej, Varun Khanna and Dylan Rhee
The following are new Ivy Preparatory League records:
  • 100 Breaststroke – 57.23 – Dylan Rhee
  • 100 Breaststroke – 1:02.19 – Sophia Zhang
  • 200 Medley Relay – 1:37.74 – CJ Hinckley, Maxwell Babej, Varun Khanna and Dylan Rhee
  • 500 Freestyle – 4:31.23 – CJ Hinckley
