Middle School Clubs and Councils

Middle School students have an opportunity to join a club or council that meets for a full period once every seven school days. These groups often allow for participation of students in mixed grade groups.

Students and teachers propose clubs based on their personal interests, and these offerings change during the course of the school year and from one year to the next. Past clubs have included Anime, Best Book, Birding, Board Games, Geography, Knitting, Magic the Gathering, Running/Walking, and Sports Trivia.

The Middle School Service Council is a student leadership group that supports community engagement and service work. Students learn how to be changemakers who make meaningful social impact in our school community and beyond. Students focus on environmental issues and food justice, and they support our Community Circle partnerships through activities such as planning community garden improvements, organizing Advent Church meals, and leading a coat drive.

Students who do not participate in a club or council are assigned to a study hall.
