Down 2-0, Tigers Roar Back

Greg Kenney

After falling behind 2-0 the Tigers showed great resolve in battling back to win the game 3-2.  Jamie Mason preformed well in goal making a number of strong saves and kept the Tigers within striking distance of the Dutchmen.  A late goal by Matt Swain put Trinity back in the game going into half time. Fantastic team defense and two more goals by Matt cemented the victory.  Davoud Elghanayan and Raphael Steiner worked together well and closed down the Collegiate attack on the right side.  Peter Richieri and Joshua Hirshhorn bent but did not break, keeping Collegiate off the scoreboard the rest of the way.  Oliver Whalen played up front by himself occupying four Collgiate defenders and allowing Trinity to play an extra in midfield. Great team effort and the crowded midfield stifled the Collegiate offense.  The Tigers are back to work again this Thursday with a match against a talented St. Bernard's team.
