Dear Class of 2019 Parents,

This is a busy and exciting year for our sons and daughters and new adventures lie ahead. As our children navigate the unique challenges of senior year, we take great comfort in the solid foundation they have acquired at Trinity; one that has prepared them well for the next part of their journey.

Trinity has a proud history of the senior class gift. Each year, in honor of their children and with gratitude to Trinity, the parents of seniors make a special gift – above and beyond their gift to the Trinity Fund. Since 2000, the senior class gift has raised over $15 million for Trinity. The senior class gift supports the annual Trinity Fund and a special project chosen by the class and their families. Past senior class gifts include the new student lounge, an endowment for faculty professional development, science labs, an endowment for technology, and funds for the upcoming renovation of the Upper School Library. Five out of the last six classes raised over $1 million each and we hope to be the next class to do so.

This year, we had a record number of seniors participate in helping us select the purpose of the Families of the Class of 2019 Gift and we are proud that this year’s senior class has chosen to establish The Class of 2019 Financial Aid Endowment. Our class’s financial aid endowment will help Trinity increase access for deserving students and their families. All financial aid at Trinity is need-based and provides tuition relief as well as support for the costs of the many activities that enhance each student’s educational experience. This is a gift which our kids can continue to support as alumni, particularly when they come together to celebrate reunions. Our senior class gift is unique in that it will also include funds for a special art installation on campus in recognition of the Class of 2019 which will be enjoyed by faculty and students for years to come.

A member of our committee will contact you soon to discuss the Families of the Class of 2019 Gift effort and your participation. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please reach out to Marcus De Costa, Director of Development, at (212) 932-6861 or via e-mail at marcus.decosta@trinityschoolnyc.org.

We encourage every family to join us to achieve our fundraising goal and, equally important, to achieve our goal of 100% participation by Class of 2019 families. Please give as generously as you can, and know that every gift, regardless of size, is truly meaningful to Trinity. We are thrilled to know that the gift we are giving will have a lasting impact for generations to come.

Gratefully,
