Dear Class of 2018 Parents,

This is a busy and exciting year for our sons and daughters: chapters are closing and new adventures are on the horizon. As our children navigate the unique challenges of senior year, we take great comfort in the solid foundation they have acquired at Trinity, knowing they have been well prepared to face the future with courage and conviction.
It was good to see so many of you at our gathering on November 16th at the CORE Club -- the first of many celebrations we will share together this year. We wanted to take a moment to follow up about this year’s Senior Class Gift. Each year, in honor of their children and with gratitude to Trinity, the parents of seniors make a special gift – above and beyond their gift to the Trinity Fund.
This year, the families of the Class of 2018 will support two important initiatives of Trinity’s campus improvement plans: 1) the completion of the renovation of the Upper School Library and, 2) funding for the renovation of the Morse Theatre.
The Upper School Library will be expanded into underutilized space increasing room for collaborative study and additional quiet space for research and reading. Plans include updated technology, new flooring, lighting, and furniture and a new ADA-compliant entrance connecting the library directly to the main academic floor. Once renovations to the Morse Theatre, including front and back of house, are complete, the entire community will benefit from a more flexible, versatile space for both performances and group learning.
Last year, families in our class contributed $750,000 to the Trinity Fund. This year, our goal is to raise $1,500,000 – providing $750,000 to the Trinity Fund, and $750,000 to be allocated to the projects detailed above. A member of our committee will contact you in the next few weeks, to discuss the Families of the Class of 2018 Gift and to invite your participation. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please reach out to Marcus De Costa, Director of Development, at 212-932-6861 or
We hope that every family will join with us to achieve our fundraising goal and, equally important, to achieve our goal of 100% participation by Class of 2018 families. Please give as generously as you can, and know that every gift, regardless of size, is truly meaningful to Trinity. We know that the gifts we are giving – a fully renovated library and theatre – not only honor the Class of 2018 but will also have a lasting impact on every Upper School student for generations to come.
Thank you in advance, for your generosity. We look forward to seeing you soon as we all celebrate our children’s final year at Trinity.
