When OKLAHOMA! opened on Broadway in 1943 it ushered in the golden age of Musical Theatre. Based on Lynn Riggs’ 1931 play, Green Grow the Lilacs, the musical was the initial collaboration of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II. In its premier Broadway run, the show played 2,212 performances and gave us the timeless songs, “Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin’,” “People Will Say We’re in Love,” “I Cain’t Say No” and many others. Please join us for this hour long, family friendly musical masterpiece.
