College Counseling

Grade 12

Individual counseling continues during the first semester of senior year, as do the group meetings initiated in the spring semester of the junior year. In addition to the mandatory conferences in the fall, seniors are encouraged to meet with their college counselors throughout the semester about the completion of their college applications.
Parents and students are invited to attend Senior College Night in September and to follow-up with individual counseling by scheduling private conferences throughout the year as necessary.

Every year more than 75 colleges send representatives to Trinity to meet with interested students and prospective applicants. A printed list of the meetings is posted on the College Board here at school during the fall of the senior year and an updated schedule is sent to all seniors each week.

In the fall, the College Counseling Office partners with Interschool to host a financial aid evening. An experienced college financial aid administrator presents on financial aid procedures and answers questions. Parents may also confer with their college counselor for more tailored information.

Standardized Testing
Twelfth grade students may take the SAT or ACT throughout the fall as necessary. There are three to four test dates for either exam in Grade 12 that are timed well for college application purposes. Many seniors will round out their testing profile in the fall of senior year.
