    A Thought-Leading Program
Since the 2016 founding of the Office of Public Service, Trinity has created a thought-leading program engaging hundreds of students, K-12. Shifting traditional paradigms of community service and service learning, Trinity’s O.P.S. empowers students to connect rigorous academic study with meaningful social impact. As a grassroots social movement, our Community Circle Partnerships and community engagement has grown rapidly, and Trinity students learn invaluable leadership and life skills through their work in the world. The chart to the right represents the growth of our social movement.

BOUNTY: Trinity's Food Donation Program

Like many schools, Trinity seeks to be a zero waste school, and through our work with FLIK Dining Services, we have robust recycling and composting programs.

In addition, Trinity’s innovative approach to reducing food waste includes BOUNTY: Trinity’s Food Donation Program. Through BOUNTY, we donate meals weekly to the DeHostos Community Center and monthly community dinners in partnership with Advent Church.

Through BOUNTY, we donated meals weekly to the DeHostos Community Center and hosted monthly community dinners in partnership with Advent Church from 2018 to 2020.

As a class, the 10th grade led this initiative to provide weekly meals to homebound residents living across the street from Trinity at the Sondra Thomas House, part of the New York City Housing Authority’s subsidized housing for the elderly.

In the 2019-2020 school year, Trinity donated almost 4500 meals. We hope to resume BOUNTY and BOUNTY: HOME in the 2022-2023 school year.
